A beautiful destination in Thailand.
Bathe in the stream, ride the elephant, visit the Tiger Temple
These natural lakes lie deep in the Khlong Thom primeval forest in Krabi. This resort is more than 60km from the center of Krabi. You can rent a motorbike to go there and buy entrance tickets for 200 baht per person, plus a 20 baht for a transfer fee.
Also, if you do not know the way, you should also buy a “half day” or “full day” tour from the tourist offices around town for prices ranging from 600 baht to 1000 baht. Buy a tour, get your car in and take part in other activities such as lunch, Hot Spring, Emerald Pool, Blue Pool, Tiger Temple and Elephant Ride.
After the experience, the tour “full day” can take a lot of activities, but the time is short, so it is really easy to experience the beauty of this place. The Tiger Temple is only for good health because it has to lots of steps to climb. Elephant riding is just a walk in the garden so it does not bring the feeling of adventure.
You can spend the day at Hot Spring, Emerald pool, and Blue pool. The scenery here is really beautiful. Spend time in the Hot Spring Hot Spring and soak up the cool waters of the Emerald Pool.
Experience the beauty of ‘Wonderland Lake’
Before coming to the Emerald Pool and Blue Pool, you should visit the Hot Spring to dive in the natural hot springs in the middle of the rainforest. Hot Spring has a temperature of 35 – 40 degrees, famous for its natural mineral salts that can cure diseases such as rheumatism and sciatica. However, you should only soak for 10-20 minutes.
After relaxing with Hot Spring, you can continue to move to the Emerald Pool and Blue Pool area several kilometers away. From the parking area, you can walk for 1.5 km along a trail through the forest to reach the Emerald Pool. Emerald Pool is a natural lake surrounded by rocks, formed in the middle of the Khao Phra Bang Khram nature reserve.
Enameled under the trees in the middle of the forest, green color easily soothe the heat is rising up to the middle of a hot summer day. The waters of the Jade Emerald River originate in an underground stream of Khao Nor Juji. Minerals in the water stream are known to be good for health.
The water of Emerald Pool is fresh and cool. Here, you can enjoy swimming with small fish or sit under the water rapids to massage the body.
But do not rush to be enchanted by the Emerald Pool’s green water and forgets to go upstream where is the best-gem-of-the-jungle Blue Pool.
Blue Pool is “hidden” by the natural deep inside the forest. From the Emerald Pool, you need to walk 400 meters along the trail marked by the dense forest to reach the Blue Pool. You will not be allowed to swim here because the lake is really deep and potentially dangerous at the bottom of the lake.
The blue water of the Blue Pool makes this place mysterious and the most attractive here. However, the Blue Pool will be closed from May to October for bird conservation. Thai people pay attention to tourism but always put the nature conservation to the top.
The color of the water in the middle of the lake seemed to rise forever to touch the green canopy that was dropping to the water. Somewhere in the middle of the bushes a bird sings, a strangely pure feeling …
