Borneo is an amazing place to be in Asia because of its rich nature. It is very well-suited for natural excursions as well as many other activities that allow you to be one with nature.

1. Dive with sea turtles in Sipadan

Imagine that you are kneeling on the golden sands by the sea, watching the turtles that is just a few meters away from you. This is an exciting experience awaiting you at the blue sea of Sipadan Island, Borneo.

5. Concert in the deep forest

Situated in the Borneo deep forest, Sarawak Cultural Village specializes in performing and preserving the life and culture of the Borneo tribe. It is also the venue for the annual World Festival of Tropical Forest Music, a three-day event that attracts around 24,000 participants.

Do not just listen to the world’s top musicians, experience local life, learn customs, dances, and music among traditional houses at the foot of Santubong Mountain.

When the environment is devastating at an alarming rate, the two centers for Semanggoh Wildlife Rehabilitation in Sarawak and the Orang Utan Environment Rehabilitation Center in Sabah will give you a chance to see this species. At close range, learn how to protect them.

If you go to Sepilok, do not forget to visit the moon bear sanctuary. The bear of the moon, named after the golden coat in front of the breed, is currently losing its habitat and needs our help to survive.

7. Picnic with Penan people

To get close to the jungle and indigenous people, try this experience. The Penan people were a nomadic tribe, they knew exactly how to live in harmony with the jungle. You need to go helicopter to Long Lellang in the forest and take a canoe to visit them. Here, you will see how people get food, water, housing, basket weaving, bracelets from rattan wares, and even making bamboo instruments. This is a beautiful area and the guides you know are very knowledgeable.
